Which One to Book
One to Four People, Normal Bags
The sedan. No surcharge, same meter, and it is the right answer for most trips across Melbourne. Do not pay for a bigger car you will not fill.
Four People with Real Luggage
The SUV or wagon. Four adults fit in a sedan, four adults plus four suitcases usually do not. This is the airport car for a family of four, and the extra costs less than the argument at the kerb.
Five or More People
The maxi cab, up to eleven seats. Once the group passes four you have no choice, and one maxi almost always beats two sedans on both price and sanity.
When the Arrival Matters
Silver service. A premium car and a suited driver for client pickups, events and weddings, still on the meter rather than an hourly charter rate.
The Same Trip in Each Car
Melbourne CBD to Melbourne Airport, roughly 23.5 km, priced on the day rate. The only thing changing between these rows is the vehicle surcharge.
| Car | Seats | Surcharge | Estimated fare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sedan | 4 | None | $62.12 |
| Silver Service | 4 | $11.00 | $73.12 |
| SUV or Wagon | 4 | $17.80 | $79.92 |
| Maxi Cab | 11 | $17.80 | $79.92 |
Estimates including the toll where the route uses one. An airport pickup adds the $5.26 rank fee. The meter on the day is the final word unless you agree a fixed fare with us by phone or email first.
Photographs on this page show the vehicle class you are booking, not a specific car from the fleet. If a particular requirement matters for your trip, tell us in the booking notes and we will confirm before the driver is assigned.
